Our Founder’s  Story

There are many societal ills and injustices in our world (both inside and outside of our professional life) that negatively impact us emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, financially, and physically. This shapes our perspectives and behavioral patterns and it causes us to not honor the one priority we have the most control over – OURSELVES.

My professional experience as an hourly worker to salaried worker, individual contributor to leader, employee to human resources has been a roller coaster! I have experienced great success in my professional journey. However, I have often felt devalued, ignored, rejected, and overwhelmed. It was because of my faith, therapy, and the support of my tribe that I have learned  “I cannot be placed in the box that others think I should be in, because I shine too bright;  I cannot be labeled by what others think of me or say about me, because I defy every label; and no one can tell my story, because I stand in my truth.”  When this truth became a part of how I showed up at work,  I noticed that I had peace and fulfillment. Additionally, other professionals (both individual contributors and leaders) respected my boundaries and the value I brought to the table.

We give so much of ourselves to our careers and spend too much time at work to be unhappy and unfulfilled (especially if you have student loan debt!). The average full time leader spends a minimum of 45 hours/week – 2340 hours/year, at work. This is time we will not get back. Work with me and let’s make the best of it…

Meet Erika Monaé

I am a people builder. I will look for opportunities to encourage others to bring out the best in them and to help them accomplish their dreams. I will speak words of faith and victory, affirming them, approving them, letting them know they are valued. I will call out their seeds of greatness, helping them rise higher and become all that God created them to be. This is my declaration.

Founder & CEO

My progressive 10+ years of HR experience afforded me the opportunity to handle employee and labor relations, training and facilitation, as well as coaching leaders (especially first time leaders). My passion for people was really enhanced professionally when I discovered that the employee experience is a direct correlation to their leader’s experience. While I was successful in handling my employee and labor relations, and developing leaders, I noticed professionals were still unhappy and unfulfilled after the “surface level” problems were resolved.

In 2014, I began to notice that I coached people from my heart. Meaning, it did not matter who they were, what level they had in the organization, or their tenure. My bigger concern was not about the workplace politics; it was about the heart and mind that each professional brought to work with them that day. When it became clear to me that the dark cloud over professionals (the cloud of feeling devalued, overwhelmed, rejected, and/or ignored) can be changed if they tapped into their power. It was then when I was called to help others see their power and transform that dark, rainy cloud into clear and bright skies.

Building an inclusive and healthy workforce for the next generation maybe easy to comprehend but the type of transformation that is necessary is not. It takes time, maturity, honesty, and courage. Your transformation is a part of the greater transformation that needs to take place in the workplace.
